Rolling bearing rings and rolling element, one side bears the high contact pressure, one side with the sliding contact with the sliding.
So the bearing ring & rolling element material required performance:
* Rolling fatigue strength, high hardness, high abrasion resistance
* Cage material required for performance
* Good dimensional stability,good mechanical strength
In addition, there is a need for good workability.
According to the different use, it also requires impact resistance, heat resistance, good corrosion resistance.
Bearing ring and rolling elements are usually made of high carbon chromium bearing steel. Most of the bearings are made of SUJ2 in JIS steel. Large bearings use SUJ3. SUJ2 chemical composition as the bearing material has been standardized in the world . For example: with the AISL52100 (US), DIN100Cr6 (West Germany), BS535A99 (UK), etc. are the same kind of steel. For Further impact resistance required, bearing material uses chrome steel, chrome molybdenum steel, nickel chrome molybdenum steel, use carburizing quenching, make the steel has a hardened layer from the surface to the appropriate depth. With the appropriate hardening depth, fine organization, the appropriate hardness of the surface and the hardness of the carburizing bearing, bearing has excellent impact resistance than made of bearing steel.
For some special applications, also use high-speed steel excellent in heat resistance and stainless steel excellent in corrosion resistance.
Bearing cage, both sides with the rings and rolling body on both sides, or one of its sliding contact, while receiving tension and compression force.
Cage material use low carbon steel. According to the different use, also use brass plate, stainless steel plate, high strength brass, carbon steel, and also use synthetic resin.
